I agree with Malstrom about motion overshooting - but for an entirely different reason.
The motion set-ups make the consoles much less mobile. I take my GC all over the house whereas my Wii is tethered to a particular TV set. Microsoft and Sony are about to do the same for their consoles, except their general user is much more wanting to move things around and play on the road.

Think about it.

I don't know what your problem is. I also used my GC mobile all the time. I even bought a special GC bag. Than I switched to the Wii and also travel with it all the time. I even use the same GC bag for it. The Wii itself is smaller and there is enough space for 2 Wiimotes and Nunchucks. (I only had space for one GC-controller earlier ...)

If you are somewhere with a TV that you can plug into for display, that's fine.

But to play in the car on a portable screen -- or somewhere without a TV -- it is really difficult to do that. Even though Intec makes  a 7-inch screen for the Wii, I can't imagine playing on one.

Maybe it is just me. But it sees that motion will lock consoles down more than they have been in the past. Just my thoughts. Any thoughts?

I don't think mobility of the console itself is a problem but more the amount of space you need to use it, dorm rooms for example. The demo of Natal at E3 with the lunatic lady who looked like she was suffering an epileptic fit, a game that requires 4 people to do that at the same time is overshooting the market.

I think another possibility of overshooting is full 1:1. Was it EA who said they had to tone down the sensitivity in Grand Slam? If games become full 1:1 they'll become less enjoyable and too difficult for a large part of the market that Nintendo has just created.
