This was already mentioned earlier in the thread. There were several CD systems before the PlayStation. What I'd like to know is what he meant with "loads faster". Faster than what? Also, if it wasn't for Nintendo, Sony would have never entered the gaming industry and more importantly, the PlayStation controllers to this day still use the SNES controller as their core. Now that's influential. Lastly, "a lot" is not one word. |
i didnt bother mentioning the earlier and less popular cd based consoles because i didnt feel like coming off as an elitest, so i just mentioned the saturn.
and yea, sony's game plan was basically brilliant when they entered the industry. buy third party exclusives, rip off the snes controller, and whore themselves to anybody who wants to make a game. to top it all off, they wouldnt even have the idea to enter if it werent for nintendo. and because of sony, microsoft entered. these people have a lot to thank nintendo for.
edit: oh yea, and as far as the 'loads faster' part. i dont know, the only thing i can think of is the 64 and cartridge based systems... which dont load.
