SNES may be the greatest of all time. It was the dream system with great 3rd party support + Nintendo 1st party support.

Super Metriod, Chrono Trigger, ALTTP, FF6, Super Mario World 2: Yoshi's Island are 5 games that end this thread.

Xenogears, Vagrant Story, Metal Gear Solid, any platforming Crash Bandicoot, and any Spyro would gladly restert this thread.

PS2 > PS1 > SNES.

Its goona b difficult... but lets try to compare apples to apples here.

I mention SMW2:Yoshi's Island and the closest games on your list that compare are Crash and Spyro. Now...i'm a life long platforming whore and the very idea that you compare Crash and Spyro to SMBW2 offends me on a momentous scale. I'm not saying thy arent good games... but not even close to elite. Klonoa would have been a much better choice from the PS1 library.

The rest really cant be directly compared.

And the fact that you're such an elitist offends me... how the hell is Yoshi's Island better than Crash or Spyro? at least use SMW 1, it's the better game!

Play Xenogears, and then talk about the best of the classical RPG's.
