To be precise you have to divide by 1.2, not multiply by 0.8

$75 / 1.2 = $62.5

 

No, multipy by 0.8, or if you want to, divide by 1.25%.

The basic net price is $60, then EU gov comes and adds it's 25% VAT = 60x1.25=75
