Yoshi's Island DS was pretty slick. The Kirby scenario on the other hand is bugging me... wtf is Sakurai doing!?

Sakurai has nothing to do with the new Kirby game. He long left HAL before that game was even announced.

You're right but isn't he the creator of Kirby? He must have some involvement... for the chance that i'm mistaken though i'll correct myself, wtf is "HAL" doing!?

Well, since he left HAL, he probably has no involvement whatsoever. Just like Itagaki has no involvement in Ninja Gaiden anymore.
