Now, while I would wager that the total amount of exclusive games sold is rather equivalent to the userbase difference, or even in the favor of the PS3, the very top comparable exclusives(or in the 360's case, multiplatform games shared with the PC) vastly lean towards Xbox 360 dominance. With 10 million sellers like halo 3, and huge franchises like Gears and even Fable, the top selling 360 "exclusives" are vastly outselling the equivalent "AAA" exclusives on the Sony consoles, despite splitting sales with the PC. Sony could do some catching up with GT5 though, but this gen, I doubt Sony will ever catch up with MS in raw software sales, even if they double them in hardware. The 360 is a beast. |
And games like Halo were just like that on the original Xbox vs the PS2. The only exclusive games to ever break 8 million on the PS2 were GTA, GT, and Final Fantasy. So don't try and make it seem like since Halo 3 sold 10 million, the 360 is the end all, be all for software sales
