silentmac said: I don't know if it will equal sales but the game seems to have gotten a pretty good reception on most of the boards I read. (VGChartz, IGN (Wii), GAF). Its a bit mixed on Gamefaqs... However, comments sections for the reviews are full of hate. If they review it, expect Giantbomb to give it a bad score. They did a quicklook and Jeff Gerstman and Brad Shoemaker were complaining about input lag (bad controls), ugly environments etc. Of course, they didn't have the bounding box set small enough so of course the turning was slow...
This is all I have to say about Jeff Gerstman, and people still at Gamespot.
Lol... I forgot about that. I always thought he was a tool when he was with Gamespot but this confirms it. Another thing I remember is he gave Scarface on Wii a 58 and even though it isn't the best game I can't see it being much lower than 70 since it still has the best third person shooter mechanics on Wii and is probably tied with Godfather as the best sandbox game on Wii...
Oh yeah, dude. I never cared for him there. The Twilight Princess review was the final nail in the coffin though.
And remember gang, according to gamespot this game is equal to Red Steel.
I learned long ago that Giant Bomb is a terrible website for Wii owners. Avoid it.
As for Gamespot, and some other sites which shall remain nameless, I don't think they are giving this game a fair shake. From everything that I've seen, it seems the general consensus is that The Conduit just edges out Call of Duty: World at War as the best FPS on the Wii. You would never know it from looking at the review scores though.
