Xbox 360 more wanted than playstation 3?

in theory you are right, except its likely that the person chooses a PS3 over a 360 in that scenario because it costs more therefore its more desirable to get it for free because the other one could be additionally obtained for a cheaper price. For example

Free PS3 = I can have both for ($200)

Free 360 = I can have both for ($400)

I guess the other method will to simply ask people "How much will you be willing to pay for a PS3/Xbox) and compare the prices.
