Shanobi said: What the hell is going on here? It's Shia Lebouf, people! Maybe if Laurence Oliviet, or Marlon Brando bashed the Wii, there'd be a reason to freak. But this guy isn't even worthy of Brendan Frasier's hair plugs.
In 5 years, we'll look back on his "career" the same way we wonder what ever happened to Mark Hamill. |
I'll make a bet with you that after the Transformers movies are over Shia will be everywhere and still be here five years from now. That guy is a product of what I call the Disney Idol factory. Indiana Jones was a shitty movie, but besides that he's a great actor. Disturbia, Transformers and Eagle eye were great. I mean they weren't five stars, but they were great.

I've liked the movies he's been in so far but I still haven't seen Eagle Eye, is it good enough to buy blindly or should I rent it instead?

The script was ok, but Shia and his co-star made it worth at least watching. Disturbia is the only movie of his that I actually have in my movie collection though. Watch what happens when he starts getting quality scripts outside of Disturbia and Transformers. This kid is going to blow up.

He probably could be big. Also, a douche reputation doesn't always hurt peoples image from hollywood. Look at Russell Crowe, Colin Ferrell, and Mel Gibson. Unless you prove that you truly might be crazy (Tom Cruise) then you can most likely still sell tickets. Hell, even if you are crazy and work your way to "sanity" then you can be considered an A-lister again (Robert Downey Jr.)

Shia, stating that he's a gamer is human enough for me. I hope he doesn't turn out like those douche bags. Tom Cruise is a nut who has lost plenty of his charm from his younger years as far as PR is concerned. Regardless, he's still one of the best actors in Hollywood, so he passes on that alone. Russell Crowe may have temper issues, but he's one of my top three favorite actors. Johnny Depp is the coolest, because I've never seen a guy who is in front of the camera so much, yet hates to be infront of it outside of official recordings. It's like seeing two completely different people.
