This is the saddest thread i have ever read, give it up folks, stop looking for excuses. Many games bomb all the times in all consoles. Why is it so hard to accept, it's not that serious.

A bomb would mean it didn't make a profit, and it's safe to say that's not true about both those games. Even if it was a little profit.

none of you know how much it cost to make these games, so i don't where the profit excuse comes from. As far as sales goes, very disapointing numbers though.

I thought my estimate was fairly reasonable ...

With that said, I don't think you can say that MadWorld was a bomb unless you're willing to admit that Valkyria Chronicles and Yakuza 3 (Sega's biggest PS3 titles) were also bombs.

Do you honestly think Madworld cost less than half the price of Valkyria Chronicles, even with the fact that Madworld actually got advertising?

Are we still in denial that producing a game with the graphical quality people expect from HD console games cost 3 to 4 times as much as a similar PS2/Wii game does?

Lets hope not. But what I always find amusing is that games that "flop" on Wii are always magnified where as games that "flop" or underperform on HD consoles are marginalized.

Bet between Slimbeast and Arius Dion about Wii sales 2009:

If the Wii sells less than 20 million in 2009 (as defined by VGC sales between week ending 3d Jan 2009 to week ending 4th Jan 2010) Slimebeast wins and get to control Arius Dion's sig for 1 month.

If the Wii sells more than 20 million in 2009 (as defined above) Arius Dion wins and gets to control Slimebeast's sig for 1 month.
