Let's clear one thing up. Do we REALLY care if a game sells 100K, or 1M units (or 10M)? Does it make our experience of enjoying the game that much better?

Here's what I care about: Did the game sell well enough to warrant a sequel or a similar type of game in the future that's of a very high quality and thus that I want to buy.

The problem with that though is it hurts the potential for that series to continue and support from the developer/publisher.

If it sells enough to warrant a sequel, that IS the series continuing.

Wouldn't make much sense going through all the trouble of getting the licenses for tatsunoko vs capcom if they didn't think there was a fighting game market on Wii, and go through a lot of work to localize it cause of the issues with some characters.  Maybe the never say never deal is more in light of how well tatsunoko vs capcom can do, which I've finally been able to play it and I'm enjoying it a lot more then Street Fighter IV and I loved Street Fighter IV.
