I gave up on Nintendo after the N64 was basically booboo. And then following afterward, the pretty much did the same thing with the Gamecube: release the same 1st party games and then have horrible 3rd party support. Now we have the Wii. I thought it was funny and nonsensical to call it two GCs duct taped together before....but now after 2.5 years on the market, being two GCs applies to more than graphics.
The Wii, to me, is one half GC with the same first party titles we come to expect and the other half being the second GC, which is the casual/shovelware games. So yeah, it is two Gamecubes, with the second Cube being an array of crap that I don't care about, and the first Cube being the Nintendo games I lost interest in 10 years ago.
Say what you will. Call out SMG or MP3 or Twilight Princess. Nintendo's staple first party isn't going to get me to buy that another one of their consoles, and the direction they're taking with Wii Fit and Wii Sports and the like isn't helping either. Their only solution is: MAKE NEW IPS. And I mean GAMES. New action, new adventure, new strategy, new fighter, etc. Don't just rehash the same old games and expect me to be wowed. Why can't Nintendo do now, what they did back in the early 90s with the SNES?
