While this means the Wii can see bigger boosts from the release of games, and what not, there is also not a back-log of demand of people who will pick up a Wii on an arbitrary Wednesday in the middle of March simply because it is finally in stock.

Seriously people are making too much of this so called Wii slump. It was selling insane record breaking numbers for so long, and now it's just coming back to earth. The Wii will never reach DS like numbers, I've beleived that for a while, but it will continue to do great, and get boosts when big games come out. And it is the gift console you can give just about anybody, so come the holiday season it will certainly get a huge boost.
