There are thousands of games out there but very few get commericals. Infamous got a pretty good amount of commercials so it is hyped more than regular games.
Maybe not hyped enough as other blockbusters like Mass effect, halo, gears, "wii" games (i mean wii fit, etc), sports games, etc, but still commercials reach many more people than these game forums. I don't think PS3 versions of Prototype will outsell infamous though, main reason is because it is multi.
