The next console will have HD, but it won't be a big deal. It's dirt cheap to add HD nowadays.
Microsoft and Sony are the ones now following Nintendo's path, do not expect a traditional Playstation 4 or XBox 720 for them, they both are saying they are going to keep (probably redesign) their current systems and focus them around motion control in the future.
