NOOOOO!
This may seem off topic but bear with me...
My friend and I are both Game Developement majors in college and just for fun we decided that we were going to make a game. We thought it would be cool to have a game where you could use letters to make words and then have that word become a physical object in the world. We woked on it for quite a bit and actually had a working prototype up and going strong. The character would walk around the page of a book and the sentences would be the platforms that he walked on. At anytime the character could reach down and pluck a letter out of a word and put it in his backpack. After he had accumulated a bunch of words in his backpack he could make a word and then have it become an object in the world (The only words that currently work are SWORD and GUN)
We even had it so that you could put the letters from your backpack back onto the page and make a word that the character could interact with. For example, if you had a "P" and a "U" in your backpack you could put the word "UP" back onto the page, and then when the character stepped on it he and the word "UP" would move up the page (We actually had this part working, although a little buggy) or if he put the word "CRUMBLE" on the page the word would break apart.
We started work on it over a year ago but the project kind of fell to the way-side. I still have the most recent version on my computer right now... our working title for it was "Mightier Than the Sword"
...sigh...
I'm both glad and sad to see Scribblenauts coming out. Glad becasue we definitely had a good idea going, but sad becasue its not us making it :(
(It looks really good btw)
