Those spikes were also during the holiday seasons of 2007 and 2008.

Now THIS is a more reasonable explanation, Outlaw. There's no question that plays an effect. That's also when the bundle occured (directly following), so it's very difficult to say. We can all agree the games were bundled and that it unquestionably sold more copies as a consequence, yes? Because it's importnat to note that games with similar sales that were never bundled with the PS3 (Soul Calibur, Army of Two, Burnout Paradise, Far Cry 2, and several others) had significantly stubbier legs than Heavenly Sword, Ratchet, and Uncharted, all of which were bundled at one point or another. You can say this is a coincidence -- and of course it's possible -- but that seems very unlikely.

Well, they're first party titles that are also of high quality. That plays into effect.

Looking through the US sales during the two seasons, sales got over 10k towards the end of December 2008.

So, yes bundles played an effect in Europe but the effects of said bundles are exagerrated. (not by you I will say)
