Is your definition of shovel anything that's not bloody and gory? Seriously, I don't get why people were "obligated" to buy games such as Mad World. We don't buy games just because they're gory, but because they have kickass gameplay, story, and everything else that makes a great game, well, great (e.g. God of War series). I'm not saying Mad World wasn't a great game, but my impression from the gaming journalists were that we were somehow obligated to buy this game, for the sake of it being violent? I buy games because of the gameplay, not because of the blood. Otherwise why would I buy LBP? Why would people buy sport games and racing games? IMHO, shovel ware is something made very cheaply and badly, sold in hopes of making a profit from uneducated buyers. Both of these (although Milo was implied to be more than it actually was, IMHO, but that's a different topic I hope no one derails this thread into), are obviously being developed with care, money, and time. |
no , im not saying Shovelware is anything that isn't gory or bloody im seeing most gimmicky things are shovelware.
i dont think any of these games are going to be huge. (who buys a ps3 just for eyepet? , or who buys an xbox just for a virtual kid friend? ) so why make gazilion threads about them?
it is true that nintendogs did do good, but thats cause DS is owned by alot of Casual gamers.
