Is Metroid: The Other M Considered First-Party or Third-Party?

I agree with BengaBenga, but mainly because the responsibility for the development lies with a Nintendo director. Team Ninja is really "hired help" because the Metroid team at Nintendo didn't have 3D experience. (they did the 2D Metroids).
