I have a Wii and a 360. The Virtual Console has not convinced me to buy one single game yet. The main reason? No demo to try out. Plus the fact that not one of the games has been brought into the 21st century.

Meanwhile, I must own close to 15-20 XBLA games and actually want to buy more. If you want to send me a Christmas gift - get me a MS Points card from Best Buy, please.

I have no clue how overall Wii's VC #'s are compared to MS's XBLA numbers. Someone's gotta know.

they are called classics for a reason--they dont need to be updated to be good...they are al great already...well not all but most

Classic is another word for "old" or "nostalgia inducing", maybe even "simplistic"...  Play most of these 'classics' for more than 10 minutes and you're like "Yeah, not quite as good as I remember."

Case in point: When I first got my XBox, I kept saying "Double Dragon would be perfect for XBox Live Arcade" on the xbox.com forums.  Well, they put it up and after trying the Demo, I didn't even care to download and unlock the full game.

And by updated, I meant things like Online play/leaderboards.  Updated graphics and achievements are just gravy for most of us...

I'm 32 years old and I've been a gamer since I was about 5. I know all about these 'Classics'...
