What the OP and several other people are neglecting here is that the PSP GO is not a replacement nor a successor for the PSP 3000.
Sony isn't forcing anyone to buy it. If gamers don't like it, then they can pick up a PSP 3000 or a Slim & Lite.
The PSP Go is probably just a way for them to test the waters for the true successor to the PSP.
