I don't know if it really means anything. In an interview the day before Mr. Miyamoto said that when you play Wii Sports Resort sword fighting and archery that you should think about the next Zelda. So I think sword and archery is in at least. As for steampunk Zelda ... as long as its EAD and Miyamoto doing it ... bring it on I say.
I could be like Final Fantasy 6 or some of the Miyazaki movies that mix in some technology.
