I never understand why MS stuck with DVD for the 360. But hey, I ain't complaining. MS' folly isn't effecting the games I plan to buy and it helped ensure Blu-Rays victory over HD DVD.

If VMD does what it is supposed to do, MS could issue a firmware update - then release 20Gig games on the 360.

Whether that is necessary or cheaper than just producing 2 DVDs in the box - I have no idea.

...

If the 360 does beat the PS3 this generation, one of the main reasons will be due to them sticking with DVD rather than using a next-gen drive.

EDIT: When I speak to my friend who works at Team Bondi next, I'll have to ask him about this. I suspect no 360 skew has more to do with Sony (partially?) bankrolling the project, than any sort of technical or size limit.

If MS does use VMD people will just find another complaint. I think it would be a great idea since it could also help VMD gain a foothold in the market.

Love the product, not the company. They love your money, not you.
