Square would probably justify a port like this the same way Nintendo does Gamecube ports - giving new gamers a chance to enjoy the games they missed out on last gen.  I'm all for that when it comes to Metroid Prime 1 & 2 and Pikmin.  More people need to play those games.  Plus, it warms them up for the next game in the series - Metroid Prime 3 Corruption, Pikmin 3, Kingdom Hearts 3...  It makes sense to me.

Not convinced this isn't just a mean rumor though.  Someone doesn't like Soriku very much to play with his emotions like this.

Wait, that doesn't work for Kingdom Hearts. It sold over 5 million and was on the PS2. It works for the Cube because it sold terribly.
