What's the best selling real game?" "Blood Guts Kill McDeath: Killvengeance 2: The Deadening Blood" There were casual games in the PS2 generation, and in the N64/PS1 generation, and in SNES and NES generation. Hell, one of the first games I ever played was a Sesame Street matching game for the NES when I was, like, 5. Nobody cared back then, because those games weren't selling better than the big-budget, 'hollywood' 500 hours-of-nonsense-story games. |
I have never played a game for 500 hours, and it's actually the hardcore games that tend to be shorter.
A hardcore game has nothing to do with hardcore gamers. A hardcore game is generally violent in nature, and appeals to the main demographic of gaming (young males).
