If you are hinting at what I think you are.....
1. PS2 failure rate, not nearly as big an issue at the 360s. Sry. XBOX and Gamecube were really sturdy though. And shoddy doesn't just mean it's failure rate. That also entails the scammish pricing and peripherals.

2.PS2 wasn't that casual, and didn't surround itself with casual games. It had a nice blend of both hardcore and casual.

 

I didn't say that the ps2's failure rate was as bad as the unacceptable failure rate of the 360.  Sony did however have plent of faulty machines.  The ps3 is a great and durable product, but Sony has just as much history with failing products as Microsoft does. 

It is simply impossible for a game to be casual... but gamers can casually play games.  It has been this way (with all games) since the beginning of time and it's not going to change or go away.  I hope that doesn't make you quite your hobby.  Using these labels in any other way is nothing more than misplaced elitism.
