@ people pointing out one aspect and saying this thread fails.... grow up. and join in the debate properly or leave the debate. MOST people will play through MGS4 by shooting lots of people.... its a shooter first, as is splinter cell.

The Ace Combat needs to be a shooter as well.

I've shot more stuff in the 1 hours I played Mass Effect than the 50 I played MGS4....

So Mass Effect is a shooter ?

If you only define a game as a shooter if you shoot a gun inside it, independantly of what else you can do in the game you will wrongly categorize most games...

Furthermore both Splinter Cell and MGS4 are not considered shooters by either their creator and most review sites...

Which is my point. They're not.
