I really don't see the problem with them giving a game a crappy score. Especially when you're comparing it to another source that gave it a not quite as crappy score. I'm glad that you like it, but lots of things can be enjoyable without actually being very good.
And this game looks like a very basic and bland beat'em up.
I'm a mod, come to me if there's mod'n to do.
