Ok guys I have questions.

I have only played Yellow for Gameboy. I recently aquired Emerald for GBA, but havent played it. Does that come before or after G/S? Should I play it first?

Also, what are Fire Red and Leaf Green, and can I/is it worth, tracking them down in Australia?

Finally, should I buy Gold or Silver?

Whoa buddy, Gold and Silver were the best! I can't believe you never played them..

Ruby and Saphire came out after Gold and Silver.... they were on the GBA while G/S were on the GBC. The chronological progression of the series means almost absolutely nothing to each game, but so far each release has been in chronological order.

Fire Red and Leaf Green are remakes of the original Red/Blue/(Green in Japan). They have added bonuses in the game that you can do after beating the Elite Four. Another cool thing is that after you beat the Elite Four the first time, they get way stronger and it's really fun to level up more and tackle the challange again. Whether or not they're worth tracking down depends on how much you like the original Pokemon game... and by judging by your recent posts and thread, I'd assume you should track these games down. :P

I liked Silver more than Gold, but if you want you can just wait for the remake to come out.
