sony sold all of its stake it the fabrication/manufacturing of cell 

 

it sold the fabrics... but they can still make cell processor if they want.

actually they are doing a multi core mult spu one now.

 

sony has to pay others to have them manufactured now, they no longer have any cell production facilities in their ownership
