The kind of third parties that has the resources to "actually put a budget into a game" doesn't do "budget games". Once they put their budget into the game, they kinda expect you to do the same.
I, myself, am fine with $20 shovelware outselling $50 shovelware.
Reality has a Nintendo bias.
