You should ask yourself one question first:

What would Nintendo gain by producing FPS games?

They would gain PS3 and Sony fan base is what! They wouldn't want to play Resistence or Halo or Gears anymore if they could throw banana peels and turtle shell at their enemies! Does Halo allow you to do that? NO! Just Bullet or Lasers!

The PS360's will be very refreshed NOT to have blood and gore in their games and to be able to run around in colorful environments too! They are sick of gray, dirty worlds without Rainbows and Sparkles!

Aren't they?

(Actually, I would by the game).

So you answered my question. Nintendo would gain a userbase of a small elite and outspoken gamers.

So with that answer, what would the lose by using their development studios to produce these games?

I was kind on joking but I would play the game.

The problem is that I don't think that it would broaden their audience though. The game could be top in FPS but I thinkmost of the "Core" FPS fans would never play it because it would be Mario and not some BUFF-guy/ or HOT-girl.

I also think that the fans that do support the N, would not buy this game. So they would lose money, even if they did it right- they would lose.

But I still want to play the game.

First, I have a bunch of friends that are core fps fans that would completely eat this up. The only Wii game they play for any length of time is Brawl. This would be the party fps.

Second, why not? It would be rated T, it would have all the main Nintendo characters.
