Ure right, the beta was very buggy and crashed a few times for me

I had to uninstall it.

I haven't had a problem with a beta beyond losing access to one of my add-ons (Gmail Manager).  No crashes or other strange activities.

Firefox has always had problems on my PC, both running XP and Vista. When 3.0 first came out it would just randomly crash all the time and force close. Now it doesn't do that any more, but since 3.0.8 and on it freezes after you close it. When you try to start another instance it looks like it is working, but then you get no web access until you kill the process.
