PS3 still losing money?

I wonder what it will look like once they switch over to the 45nm Cell and RSX.

In their last financial Q&A they said they would start breaking even towards the end of the fiscal year (March 2010).

That was assuming the previous exchange rates, since then they've gone a bit in favor of Sony so I guess it could even happen before the holiday period. That's why I still think price cuts aren't likely to happen this year.

 

Where can I find this Q&A?

I was reading what Harai said last year, when he said that the PS3 will most likely be profitible around this time this year. He said around March 2009. End of the the 2008 fiscal year, not the 2009 fiscal year.

Yes I know this was said before the economic downfall but they should still be pretty close by now. I can't see that still being a year away.
