They kinda have something like this in the Nintendo Channel, but you're right in that it can (and should) be more fleshed out than it currently is. I doubt they'd let a third party like IGN or Nintendo Power run the show (they're paranoid control freaks. See: Friend Codes, N64 cartridges, Gamecube mini-discs, etc.), but it'd be neat if they sent out invites to third-parties asking the third-parties to make videos/promotions, and then hosting those on the Wii.
Mind you, I don't think LKS would have benefitted much from this. Still no website to speak of, and the blog hasn't updated in three weeks.. .=^/
