I disagree. I believe the sales are for the "Sales discussion" forum area, seeing the fact that they actually made a seperate area for that talk. I doubt it was made for toaster oven sales or the latest GM figures. That is why the topic creator placed this thread here. He was trying to discuss sales. 
In the Microsoft/Sony/Nintendo discussion areas you make threads to talk about anything Microsoft/Sony/Nintendo related. Yes it could be sales related but that doesn't mean that when someone makes a Killzone 2 thread to talk about gameplay that it is alright to pop in and drop some sales numbers or talk about it not reaching "expectations". This happens all the time in all forum areas and people quickly reply "This is a sales site".
Anyways I don't feel like going into a rant, I have a dinner to go to.
I hope E3 is great for everyone. It just means more games for me to play.
