Way harder. Three bullets kill you. You can't peek outside cover for more than a couple of seconds at a time. You never melee an enemy, unless he is less than three metres away from you. They use grenades more, and they fight more tactically, so you have to do the same.
It's not impossible, and if you've beaten it on hard, it's not all that difficult. You'll die a lot, but you would be able to make it. Straight from Normal, though...I don't know.
Maybe I shouldn't speak so profoundly about Crushing when I'm only at Chapter 5 (out of 22)
