No you're not. Multiplayer is a nice addition, but it's not really necessary. And judging by those details (3 player co-op? WTF?) and images, this looks like nothing special. Wow, it's in third person. And you can take cover. But you can also jump...
I hope I'm proven wrong, but the multiplayer looks pretty average.
