I really didn't want this thread to turn into a "is it right to slack off at work". Sigh....
I don't slack off, I would just prefer companies trust their employees a little more. It doesn't take a very smart manager to know who's giving their best at work and who's not. And as our IT terms say, we are allowed to use the office internet access for private purposes to a small extent. I just think it is wrong that our job now says it's OK to read CNN, or CNET, or Entertainment Weekly, but not IGN.com.
Or it is OK to read Dilbert at work (we even have a Dilbert link on our intranet), but not Penny-Arcade.
