Microsoft would rather team up with Nintendo against Sony.

You say this like a statement of fact but I don't see the evidence that you draw this conclusion from.
Personally, I doubt anyone would be leaving considering the fact that everything would most likely be done cheaply next gen. That way, even if someone falls into a gamecube loophole, they'll still be making significant profit which is what corporations are about.

Don't act like you don't remember when Microsoft endorsed the whole Wii60 fad that began in the beginning of the gen when Sony had no games. Microsoft also was the first to congratulate Nintendo on the win this gen, but still showed signs that later they will focus on Nintendo.

for these reasons MS would rather team up with Nintendo?

Sony said the HD consoles should work together in taking out Nintendo and Microsoft refused. MS and Nintendo would definitely work together against Sony. I have no doubt about it, because they both HATE Sony.
|
Nintendo doesn't 'hate' anyone. Where did you get that from? They're the only ones keeping their mouths shut about their competitors this generation.
|
Nintendo cannot stand Sony and you know historically that they've had bad blood since a little before the Playstation made its debut. I agree that Nintendo has been keeping their mouth shut, they are more focused on raking in the cash than focusing on either of their competitors. Nintendo being passive was never my argument, but earlier in the gen Microsoft and Nintendo were both endorsing the Wii60 deal against the horrible launch price of the PS3. "Buy the 360 and the Wii for the price of a PS3."
