Absolutely not.

Aside from the fact that the holiday season is completely full, the game won't be ready by November/December. Throw in the fact that every God of War has been released in March, and you've got a solid formula for a March 2010 title.

And by the way, when they said "2009", they meant Fiscal Year 2009, which is April 2009 to March 2010. Uncharted 2, A Crack In Time, Heavy Rain and MAG will all make it out this holiday, along with FF13 in Japan, with God of War III following in March 2010, and Quantum Theory in June or so.

EDIT: Damn, Gran Turismo 5 is this year as well. If I were Sony, I would structure it like this:

Uncharted 2- September

A Crack In Time: Early October

MAG: mid-October (You don't want an FPS anywhere near Modern Warfare 2)

Heavy Rain: mid-November

Gran Turismo 5: Late November-Early December. Worldwide release, preferably.
