I realize that many of you may not understand the nature of andrewpeirce's question, and that's O.K. I am writing this for him whether others understand it or not. It is a good question, and I am glad to be able to help him out.
Rom 14:23 And he that doubteth is damned if he eat, because he eateth not of faith: for whatsoever is not of faith is sin.
This passage in its context is talking about eating meats that were offered to idols, but the principle behind it is that a Christian should have peace from God and total confidence about what he does. If he does not, if there is any doubt, then he can not truly act in faith. In other words, you should wait until you are 100% sure in your decision to buy and play this game. If you have doubt, explore that doubt until you know for sure one way or another.
Eph 6:2 Honor thy father and mother; which is the first commandment with promise;

I'll write one more but its a bit longer so I'll do it on a seperate post.
