I fully expect this holiday season to see a new Wii SKU that incorporates the WM+ into the remote and bundles the system with Wii Sports Resort.  I then expect to see the original Wii Sports go on sale separately for like $20.

 

And then if they did that, there wouldn't really be a problem.  Put it in new ones cheaply, and allow owners of the current model to upgrade cheaply instead of having to rebuy controllers.
