For Sony shipped = sold so it remains to be seen if that was 1 million shipped WW or Sony have been tracking the sales of every store WW to see if the game has sold 1 million. PR just read out the milestone, I doubt they know that one sentence will be interpret in a thousand different ways on gaming forums.
