Okay, let's compare.
LBP had tons of colour
Sackboy didn't have size D tits (lol)
LBP did new things (level editor, physics, 2D with three planes, character customisation, stickers)
And yet it sold 2 million copies.
No, Mirror's Edge didn't sell because it wasn't a particularly good game. Besides, EA deserves it. If the crap they release on a yearly basis (cough NFS undercover) sells 2.5 million across both platforms, they deserve for one of their good games to sell badly.
In a perfect world, the sales of Mirror's Edge and Undercover would be swapped. But hey, EA gets the same amount of revenue here.
