Considering it's the biggest third-party hardcore franchise debuting on a system with a 100+ million installed base I'd say it's a bomb.  An Xbox Live GTA addon completely obliterated the game in sales and many people seem to consider that a flop, that says a lot.

Not saying I don't agree it's disapointing, but that 100 million userbase crap really is annoying. PS2 had games that sold worse than on Xbox and/or Gamecube and not every game sold millions.

Different systems have different userbases, simple as that. There's no game like GTA on DS yet, so this one has find a way to appeal to the JRPG/Nintendo/Strategy/Point & Click userbase that makes up the core-segment of the DS audience. That will take time.

In Brittain it's already showing great legs, it hasn't been outside the top 10 yet. Mind you that the UK is the second market for videogames after the US. Europe as a region is the biggest btw and there the first signs are that GTA:CW is doing fine.
