Anyways, the storage solution is going to be a big factor in improving the download situation. I'm sure a lot of indy game devs saw their games reach that threshold within a week of the SD card update. To keep improving the situation, Nintendo just needs to boost the knowledge of and ease of getting online with the Wii. It is pretty weird that getting online is the third section in the Wii options menu. It's not exactly the friendliest of set up. Maybe if new wii's came with a "get online" button right on the menu (it would go away once you were set up of course), they could go a long way to getting people who wouldn't have even thought of trying to get online to do so. |
In looking at it again, it does seem to rely a lot on heresay, though IGN did confirm it and had positive things to say about it. So my previous comment may have been a bit harsh. However, it would be interesting to know how this compared to XBLA/XNA and PSN. Such a comparative statement would have made the article more robust.
And I completely agree that the storage solution will make a difference. However, I am close to reaching the point that I cannot hold all of my game saves and keep open 300+ free blocks for loading up games to play.
