Using the 10% "of existing owners will upgrade" rule, this is expected - and yet is a good, solid launch.
I expect another 300k of "easy" sales in Japan, then it will revert back to normal sales figures - plus probably 30%-40% (for a while at least).

The current WW sales figures are PSP 23.4m (31.7%) : DS 50.3 (68.3%).
If the PSP sells another 10% worldwide (thanks to the slim), and the DS doesn't sell another unit - it becomes 25.4m:50.3m. The market share becomes 33.5%.
Not a bad improvement, but it doesn't exactly set the world alight either. The challenge for the PSP is to reach (and hold) 40% WW marketshare.
