I wouldn't count on Dynamic Slash making it out of Japan.. The reason we're all saying Kirby is because it's been on Nintendo's release list for the past couple of years and has shown up again this year.. It's obviously there for a reason.. The name may change but that's what it was called when it was still a GameCube game..

Now with your theory of 8 titles..

Last year Nintendo published these titles in the US:

- Endless Ocean
- Super Smash Bros. Brawl
- Mario Kart Wii
- Wii Fit
- Mario Super Sluggers
- WarioLand: Shake It
- Wii Music
- Animal Crossing: City Folk

So that puts the total amount of new Wii games at 8 titles

Comparing 2008 to this year.. We've gotten:

- New Play Control: Mario Power Tennis
- New Play Control: Pikmin
- ExciteBots: Trick Racing
- New Play Control: Donkey Kong Jungle Beat
- Punch-Out!!
- Wii Sports Resort
- New Play Control: Pikmin 2
- Sin & Punishment 2

Those I think are locked in.. But wait.. There's more! These are 95% certainties

- New Play Control: Metroid Prime
- New Play Control: Metroid Prime 2: Echoes
- Endless Ocean 2: Beautiful Ocean
- Pikmin 3

That puts the total amount of games to..

New Play Control titles: 6
New Wii titles: 6

So Nintendo need to release another two new Wii titles for your prediction to be correct.. Now if I had to predict two titles, I'd say that Wii Fit Plus or a similar type of downstream title is likely and a more core focused effort will also be released to complement it in the second half.

So say:

- Wii Fit Plus
- Kirby: Legend of the Stars

That's a possibility..

What bugs me is that Nintendo have stated that they will be debuting key software that will rejuvinate the Wii and so far the key software that they'd have to debut at E3 that we've stated so far is:

- Wii Fit Plus
- Kirby
- Pikmin 3

....

Does this seem odd to you too?
