As to the OP: Over time the PS3 will drop its price. Eventually it will get to $200-250. I seriously doubt the 360 will sell for $0-50. So no, I don't think the 360 can match or exceed PS3 price cuts for the whole generation.
I could argue more things, but I don't really want to here; I just couldn't pass that up. I mean, the PS3 has farther to drop, so it will drop farther.
